| Sooo over break I did a shoot for a cream for a German client. (I'm on ads in Germany for a product--coool) The shoot was successful and the client offered me a roundtrip flight to Munich, Germany with food and lodging at a 5-star hotel paid for! I would be compensated for appearance time being a spokesmodel and handing out samples. Buuut...this is the same weekend as NB Seminar AND Mizzou's Informal. This ironic dilemma = GAHHHHHH!!!! Ok, enough emoticons.
P.S. There is another offer that involves traveling for a shoot. Hmmm...
| Gossip Girl. I would've never watched this show if someone didn't put it in front of me...which is exactly what happened. So I was at the ANTM casting call and they played the pilot for this new tv show. It's got quite an attractive cast!
Uh, Penn Badgley? WOW. (Chace Crawford is pretty hot, too) And Leighton Meester? She's so pretty!
| You are all I need if I'm by myself. You fill me when I'm empty. There is nothing else, You're all I need. My life is a constant roller coaster of emotions and circumstances. On 10/27, my grandfather will have passed away for a year. Crazy because I STILL talk about him as if he's here. I don't think anything's wrong with me, I just have a hard time letting go. I still say, "my grandparents" or "my grandpa does this..." I think he was one of my biggest supporters. I really miss him...but I know we'll be reunited someday.
I've temporarily/permanently quit my CASR job as a social science telephone interviewer. The status depends on if I ever go back. It wasn't THAT bad, but I don't think it's something I can handle this semester, on top of everything else. I kind of want to work at Lollicup in the mall...but I'm still working at Deb, so I'm not 100% sure I'll have the time or energy. I have plenty of crazy/funny/interesting stories from the CASR job that taught me to be nicer to telemarketers and phone interviewers. Basically what I did for CASR was call randomly-generated phone numbers to do surveys on the credibility of online journalism, opinions on the local newspaper, etc. There was this one person who said (after I told them about the survey), "Do you speak Spanish?" I said no, and he said, "I don't speak English." LIAR! (He said it IN English!) Or once I got a woman who said, "I can't talk now I have to pottytrain my kid." So I called back a few more times after wards, and she said the same thing each time! OR...you might get someone who farts into the phone! That didn't happen to me but I know at least 2 people that experienced that. My favorite: "Don't you call here no more or I'll call the cops!" ...... right. A cool thing is that I did get to call Bob Woodward for a newspaper survey. Well, I got his voicemail though. Still cool! Today was my last day (I think) and I called a number that was obviously some top secret (perhaps CIA) number. It's totally possible...like I said, randomly-generated numbers. It was freaky though, but still cool. I felt a little like I was in Alias, not gonna lie.
My boyfriend is amazing. For as much crap as I sometimes put him through, he's always there for me. I know I have relational trust issues, but he's been very patient with me. And as much as I miss him, I think we both can grow in our relationship with the distance apart. I am going to KY to see him this weekend, though! Exciting!
My neighbor upstairs makes a loooot of noise all the time. Paula and I have lovingly called her, "Hippo." We can hear when Hippo walks, talks, slams doors, flushes her toilet, WALKS. The other day I thought Hippo fell down, but then I heard the crash over and over again, so I thought it must be something else. I mean, unless Hippo just repeatedly falls down for kicks. Oh Hippo, pipe down please.
We take a lot of things for granted in this country. Just the ability to CHOOSE is a privilege. In certain places, some people don't get to make decisions. Everyone deserves freedom. Freedom should be universal. So when will we attain that?
*Strat Comm exam Wednesday. Eh. *Project pitch Thursday. I'm scared. *Working Wed, Thurs, and Friday. *People who are not open-minded really bother me. *4 more days until I get to see my boo! *I still want to see Superbad. *ANTM starts tomorrow! Grey's starts next week!
